    ABOUT ME

WRITER / ACTRESS / SOUTHERN GIRL

I've been an actress for over 30 years in film, television, stage, commercials and voice-overs. But the truth is, writing was always my first love.

A southern girl, raised in New Orleans, I come from a long line of dreamers, storytellers, and men who weep.

Am an ill-equipped wife, an enraptured parent, a great kisser and even better cook.

Currently finishing 2 novels. BIG DADDY'S KNEE, set in 1969 Louisiana.

And, SHATTERED DOLL, a New Adult novel series, based on the Miss Parker character from the 90's tv series, The Pretender.

It chronicles her college age years in Operative School.

I like to think of the essays on these pages as snapshots. Some are in sharper focus than others.

I intend to be a published novelist when I grow up. In the meantime, I live in Los Angeles with the kid.

The kid turned 12, we sold our place in NY and my dad kept jumping out of my purse. I had meant to navigate this journey of divorce with more poise. With at least a modicum of grace. I tried thinking of it as commencement into a new life, filled with magnolia blo...

My brother texted me the other day. “Did you see the article about your ex going off on somebody at the Correspondent's dinner?” I texted him that I hadn't. “Google it” came back. So even though I don’t normally give a damn about my ex, I went straight to my compute...
